Normally when I expose a supplement as being a fraud, it is simply a matter of money. I don’t want you to waste yours. Many of the nonsense products are harmless, just fillers made to be a pill or a potion. But CYLAPRIL worries me because they are talking about the kidneys and tout their product as being able to remedy Adrenal Fatigue.
This is dangerous territory. The FDA refuses to regulate these products so they’re out there without oversight. That’s what I’m here for.
STAY AWAY FROM CYLAPRIL. For your wallet and your health.

Ray,
You warn against Cylapril. Can you tell me what it contains that is damaging to what part of the body?
Thanks,
Mary

Hi Mary, I wouldn’t trust the ingredients label anyway, but they are claiming to help adrenal fatigue. These are your kidneys they are talking about. Do you feel comfortable treating one of your vital organs with something purchased in the mail? Just asking. You decide.
This and most of the other supplements that offer free trials, etc, are a financial rip off and possibly very harmful to your health.

Cylapril may very well be a scam, but your info is not correct either. Just because your adrenal glands may be affected by something does not mean your kidneys are directly affected. It just happens to be that your adrenal glands sit on top of the kidneys anatomically, but are not part of your kidneys.

Thanks for the note and while you are correct in a “Gray’s Anatomy” sense, the product still must be filtered by the kidneys and since it is a synthetic agent, it at the very least puts strain the kidneys. But again, thank you for correcting me.

Hello. For me the key to successful weightloss are the following:
1. Get a complete physical so that you know whats going on in your body (women who are pre-menopausal will benefit greatly from this). Our bodies change so nutrition needs change.
2. Based on testing, blood work etc, work with a nutritionist who can assist with creating a ‘well body nutrition list” that you can follow (ei. proper supplements to take if there are mineral deficiencies).
3. I know I know, but we need it…EXERCISE in some form…A 30 minute daily walk will not hurt.
4. Don’t over eat. Don’t deprive yourself either. Deprivation makes us eat more…and dont use the term DIET…uggg! Its gives off a negative vibe…Choose ‘healthy living” instead.
5. Pay attention to your body!…Many people eat foods that are making them sick, and they still eat eat eat…If it tastes good we eat it…look for healthy replacements for sugar cravings (chew gum, sugarless of course).
6. Dont pay attention to the scale as much. Body fat should be the biggest concern, not total weight…I lost 20 pounds in 6 months just by increasing my activities and cutting back on food volume and choices (if you have a desk job, IT HELL LOSING WEIGHT unless you are active).
Hope this helped

This is sound advice, but please reconsider #2. Instead of rushing to supplementation to address deficiencies, please consider real food as the best (and least expensive) option. Many supplements are outright garbage, others only moderately effective. Synthetic supplements are being shown to not be absorbed by the body.
Thanks again for your comments.
