This is a social networking site for pharma reps. Please click on the “Overheard” tab to see for yourself what these reps say about themselves.
Since I have several clients on Park Avenue, I see these reps trolling the doctor’s offices. I hear them in the coffee shops complaining about how patients are beginning to ask too many questions. I see them sort through their free samples and it occurred to me that this is just how a crack dealer works. Give a vial for free and them watch crawl back for more.
My doctor clients tell me they are tired of the relentless stream of sales reps squatting in their waiting rooms, ready to pounce and grab at them, “needing just a few moments of your time, doctor.”
So many of these drugs are then pushed on vulnerable patients many of whom still see doctors as demigods and will say yes to anything. Senior citizens are especially prone to this phenomenon.
Seniors- want to see your doctor’s eyes get wide with anxiety? Bring your enlightened son or daughter (or grandson or granddaughter) to your next appointment.
www.CafePharma.com is further proof to me that Big Pharma has little interest in your wellness.
Now of course I will get barraged with emails and phone calls from eager sales reps ready to defend their profession. As I always say when I rattle some cages:
“Bring ‘em on.”
