Instead of joining this debate on whether or not America’s Surgeon General is too fat for the job, I think we should be looking at this as a magnificent opportunity to make serious changes in the wellness habits of the mass of Americans who are overweight.
Dr. Benjamin is fat and she does need to [...]

JUNK FOOD BABIES
I’m happy to have my colleague, Laurie Sanders from the UK as our guest columnist. Her article, JUNK FOOD BABIES, first appeared in the Epoch Times. Laurie is the publisher of www.TheAlternativeBaby.com
Junk Food Babies
A new study carried out by the Children’s Food Campaign has uncovered some terrifying facts about the ingredients going into baby foods [1].
The [...]

LET THEM PUMP!!!
Good article in the New York Post on working mothers who want to pump their breast milk.
http://www.nypost.com/seven/07272009/jobs/pumping_9_to_5_181617.htm
Some employers have been incredibly sensitive and accommodating to mothers who want to pump their own milk to feed to their infants. Other employers have been less than accommodating, making new mothers feel uncomfortable and pressuring them to [...]

NORTH KOREA OPENS FIRST FAST FOOD JOINT
Perhaps this is a brilliant piece of psych ops. Fatten up the enemy until they are too lazy to fight.
But I think not.
If they continue to open fast food places, they will join 60% of the world in being fat, lazy and ill. This will be a great experiment. If in ten years, North [...]

JESSICA BIEL-another celebrity who should keep their mouth shut.
Jessica Biel now joins my list that includes Denis Leary, Amanda Peet and Jennifer Garner. While Ms. Biel is mighty fine to look at, she needs a lesson in global awareness. When asked about her eating habits, she said,
“Eat things you like, but eat them in smaller portions. I always cut things in half and [...]

MOTHER OF 555 LB. BOY IS CHARGED WITH FELONY NEGLECT
Obviously this is a sad story all around. Mother must work 3 jobs, can’t monitor kids eating. School allows child to eat THREE lunches a day. Finally, the state stepped in. I fear it is far too late for this 14 year old boy. He was a victim of a systemic failure.

HEALTH CARE REFORM MEANS NOTHING-until we start taking better care of ourselves
I will wait for the dust to settle on all the bureaucratic nonsense. Right now it is all talk.
Here is what is not all talk, but hard, cold reality. No matter what systems ends up being in place, it is doomed to fail within the next ten years because it will be overwhelmed by [...]

MSG and its aliases
Thanks to a great article on http://www.naturalnews.com/026493_food_MSG_toxins.html by Allison Biggar, I’ve learned that MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) likes to disguise itself under several different names. While I know that many food manufactures fail to list MSG, I didn’t know that they do list it as:
Calcium Caseinate, Gelatin, Hydrolyzed vegetable Proteins, Autolyzed Yeast, Hydrolyzed Yeast, Yeast Extract, [...]

THE CONSUMER OBSERVER-I think it’s a scam.
I may be wrong, but I haven’t been yet on exposing these scams. The Consumer Observer purports itself to be some kind of Consumer Reports. But I suspect it isn’t. I do suspect it’s a front website set up by the fraud marketers to pimp out their useless teeth whiteners. And of course then run [...]

Kristen Gillibrand, making the right kind of noise
New York Senator Kristen Gillibrand wants to ban Trans Fats from school cafeterias and reduce the stocking of junk foods.
First she wants to test the public water safety and now this? Who does the junior senator think she is? Doesn’t she know the game is NOT played that way?
If we remove the fluoride [...]
