An open letter to CENEGENICS from a reader of my blog

MY NOTE FIRST:

I’m not a fan of Cenegenics. That we know. They make outrageous claims. They use the hard sell to the extreme. The founder promotes his center using a photo that is at least 13 years old. And he won’t get on the phone with me. And I hate it when people won’t get on the phone with me.  I’ve received many emails from readers thanking me for warning them off what I think is a scam. Others have said they wished they saw my blog sooner. Here’s a letter sent to CENEGENICS from someone I got to in time and in turn helped him save thousands of dollars and countless hours of heartache and disappointment.

Cenegenics

851 South Rampart Blvd.

Las Vegas, NV 89145

Dear Cenegenics:

Thank you for your recent phone calls and for having Dr. Life call me. I appreciate your tenacity as well as your personal attention.

I must tell you however, that no sooner do we seem to have one thing cleared up than we are faced with another.

As mentioned earlier, I met some time ago with a blogger, a reputable and intelligent personal trainer (That would be me) who had in fact challenged Dr. Life to have his lawyer be in touch if what he blogged about was false; the doctor backed off, though subsequently he did call me to deny the charge that the advertisement picture was a Photoshop fake.

Now I discover the same photograph in a book by BILL PHILLIPS called BODY FOR LIFE published in 1996. So even if it is in no way tampered with, the doctor is at least thirteen years older than the ad indicates. Meanwhile, I have reports from the blogger of people attempting to meet with Dr. Life in vain and people calling to reassure them about the program-with identical phrases from what is obviously an identical script.

None of this, of course, necessarily means that the products and services your organization is advertising are fraudulent. With me, it does raise the suspicion of a number of possible federal criminal charges ranging from false and misleading advertising to nearly infinite counts of mail fraud and interstate commerce infractions. (And God knows what other felonies in the state of Nevada)

Cenegenics is an expensive and inconvenient program at best, and a trumped-up picture certainly means, for openers, that the evasive Dr. Life is not so much an outlier as a bald-faced liar who has to my personal knowledge and experience conveniently left out vital information when he spoke to me on the phone. Please do not call me again.

Hopefully this will help others before they put a deposit down with Cenegenics.

If you have a story about this organization or any other supplement/wellness schemes that I can get the word out on, please contact me directly at Ray@GrecoRomanWellness.com   or call me at (212) 946-2090

Health and wellness are emotional, hot button issues. Many people are willing to spend significant amounts of money to chase an ideal that is not reachable.

There is NO such thing as ANTI-AGING. You can’t go against nature. You can’t turn back the clock.

Only you can take charge of your wellness. Avoiding places like Cenegenics and instead going back to the basics of healthy eating and intense exercise will help you achieve realistic goals. Listening to the wizard behind the curtain will not.
