I must give them credit, in a twisted sort of way. The scammers at Acai Berry Power 500 are getting creative in an effort to get your credit card info. See this link below which I found on a “Sponsored Link” at MSNBC.
http://www.acaiberrytruth.net/?t202id=32254&t202kw=msnbc
They claim to acknowledge the fact that some companies are scammers but this company is in fact legit. All it took was 45 seconds of my time to see that they are in fact one in the same. When you’re on the site, click on the PRIVACY POLICY link. Read towards the bottom where they so graciously tell you to refer to the above address and phone number if you have any issues. The problem is there is NO address or phone number listed. Last month I tipped off over 37,000 readers of my blog to this scam. I will keep the pressure on them until everyone realizes it’s just a fraud.

Thanks for exposing the Acai Berry Diet Pill scam. They are in fact just trying to resell your cc info for yet more scams.

BIGTIME SCAM – All you have to do to prove this is call the number they give you that apparently “cancels” your order – this one was 1-866-938-4832 (I think they list a few different numbers), and the message says, “All cicuits are busy, please try your call again.” YOU WILL NEVER GET THROUGH, and they’ll still continue to take the $100 or whatever amount they’re charging you, out of your account every month!! How wrong is this! I am going to try a similar product with similar ingredients from a place where I can buy JUST ONE bottle so I can try it, with no future attachments or commitments!
November 11, 2008 at 02:33
I ordered this product two and a half weeks ago and have yet to get it! I thought I would try againg( for curiosity sake)when I finished entering out my info, I was informed that, they were sorry, but this product isn’t available in my area. WHAT THE @#@$! THEY WERE MORE THAN HAPPY TO BILL ME A WEEK AGO!
November 11, 2008 at 07:27
The complaints keep rolling in. All I can suggest is that we continue to spread the warning about this.

I too seem to have fallen for this scam. Ireceived the trial tablets on the 9th November ,with the sn
mall scrap of paper giving me a phone number 1-877-350-8480, I I had been billed on the 19th October for the postage. On looking at my credit card had the sum of $89.31 taken out on the 3rd November but no tablets received.I rang the above number told it was no longer in use to get in touch with http://www.info@inweb.co.uk,I sent an e-mail straight away, still awaiting reply, and have sent another today.Found the name of suppliers in States is Fullfillment(have the address)sent e-mail to them ha ha no reply. I have rung the credit card they cannot stop payment but I have to give them all details so am gathering such. Will inform if I hear anymore (belly laugh)!! glad to hear I am not the only sucker

Question is, how do you get out of the agreement? Can you cancel the payment with credit card company before they take the $89? or do you still have to pay it every month? surely you must be able to cancel and stop it being paid?
November 15, 2008 at 11:43
Depends on the banking laws in the UK. In the states, you are stuck.
That is way it’s a scam. If you are so intent on buying this product, PLEASE go into a store and make a one-time purchase. If you lose 10 kilos in a month like it says, then buy it again.

I signed up for the trial tablets 5 minutes before checking out this website. I quickly contacted my bank and told them to issue me a new credit card since thats the only way to be safe. Hopefully, I wont be charged anything. Thanks for spreading the word.

By the time I had read this I’d already purchased my trial, on 31 Oct, but not received yet, so I rang my bank first thing this morning and they put a stop on the card and said any future transactions that attempt to be made will be declined. Then I tried to ring the company in USA. I;ve got about 4 numbers for them and 2 had answer phone messages saying their hours of business were 8am – 5pm so I had rough guess what time would be best to call from UK. Got through after a couple of attempts and was on hold for 15 minutes before I spoke to someone. She tried to get me to take 2 bottles for price of 1 for next month which I refused and firmly said I woule like to cancel. I was given a cancellation number and the lady said that everything had been cancelled.
Fingers crossed everything will be OK. Thanks to everyone else for spreading the word.

FYI – you can call your credit card company and just have them issue you a new card. This will stop all payments…then you CAN dispute the charge. I fell for this too. My credit card rep said she gets calls for this stuff all the time, and as I’m sure we’ve all learned NEVER give your credit card out to a website that isn’t 100% reputable!
Good luck everyone…

I got suckered on this scam as well. I ordered the trial offer on October 28, and on November 6, my debit card was charged $29.95 for something called the Fit Factory. On November 13, my debit card was hit for $89.91 and I STILL have NOT received the trial sample. One of the customer reps said no refund was possible, so I called the bank and canceled my debit card, then continued to call the 1-800 number under I got someone, who under threat of fraud charges, said she would issue a refund. On November 20, the sample arrived but I still haven’t gotten my refund, although I’ve been told it is being processed and will take 14 business days. Meanwhile, I filed a fraud report with my bank and they are investigating. What on earth costs $89????? What a scam!

I am one of the many suckers…I did receive my trial, and have not been charged yet…I think it said the 1st of the month…I am cancelling my credit card TOMORROW after reading this blog and I wish I would just stop being so desperate to find wellness in a pill! I quit smoking and gained 25 lbs and am just one of the many that are looking for the easy way…anyway, as far as the pills go, I HAVE noticed a different energy level after 10 days, but that is IT. Not a pound lost and my digestive systen certainly doesn’t seem better. Sorry, just shaking my head at myself…Thank you so much for the info! I have learned a valuable lesson.

wow thank you so much i was about to fall for it myself thank you

While the phony number is pretty shady ALL of the $89 charges are set forth in the terms and conditions. Anytime ANYONE offers a “free” trial read the terms and conditions. It almost ALWAYS subscribes you to a membership club. Nothing is FREE.BTW you can get these pills at GNC for $14.99 a bottle. Just saying do some research.
January 28, 2009 at 20:10
The acia berry websites I’ve looked at which offer a “free trial” tell you that you only have 4 minutes to place your order. And a clock starts ticking down the time. I am convinced that this is a ruse to encourage you to not read the fine print which sets out the fact that your credit card is going to be charged every month.

I just ordered the trial 3 days ago and cancelled today BUT I’ve decided to get a new debit card just in case. I was also given an email address to send your cancellation notice to: billing@fwnlabs.com If that helps anyone.

I ordered the trial and received it almost two weeks later. A couple days after that they already charged my card for the next shipment which was another week. When I called the 1-800 number they said that all lines are busy, it will be at least 5 minutes. You might want to try again later. I did wait and got through to someone after 11 minutes of waiting. I talked to a guy who had really poor English. He obviously wasn’t in the United States. I canceled and he said that it would take 48 hours. Naturally, there was a third charged. He did not mention at the time that there was a third charge of $83.80. I went to the website Advanced Wellness Research Inc. and sent an e-mail through that website. That is the name of the company that was on the receipt for the second shipment so I tried that website. I actually got a reply within 30 minutes. They said that the charge was processed two days before I canceled and that my bank did not post until the day after I canceled.
This is a scam for sure. I do have the e-mail they replied back to me on, and I will us that as proof that I canceled if any further charges occur. I wish that I had done like some of you and canceled right after I ordered the trial.
It’s obvious that you cannot trust a lot of offers on the internet.

This Acai Berry Diet Scam is one of the biggest frauds out there. Just Google the words “Diet Frauds” and see.
If you go for their Postage Only trial offer for only $4.99, you will be surprised in 15 days if you don’t reply to how
wonderful their product is, your sample will be very quietly charged at $78.81. You will then be sent another 60 tabs
and charged $83.80.
Then what they tell you is that when you agreed to the Postage Sample, you also agreed to being charged $78.81 for that
Sample bottle if you did not reply in 15 days, and to receive a bottle every month at $ 83.80 per bottle. Had that been
obvious on the web site when ordering, I would never have ordered the Postage Only offer.
Just try to cancel this deal if you can connect to one of the 8 phone numbers you get directed to. The will tell you they
cannot find your zip code, your name, your order number, your phone number, or anything about you. Try to have it
canceled and they will spend at least 10 minutes to smooth talk you into staying with it and they will discount the whole
thing,
I found 2 months later that they did notify you of the dirty little secrets in a little background LINK at the bottom of
the page. Which was long after you already ordered the Postage Offer. I wish I was smart enough to go to Google
and type in the words “Diet Frauds or Acai Berry Frauds” What an education !
If you go to “GRETA.COM” , you will usually find two Diet Linked ads. Click on them and you will find they know what
town you are from,”Bishop Calif”, in my case. What you see is the EXACT same ad with, the EXACT same testimonials,
with the EXACT same pictures, BUT with two different names; “Hi, I am Tamara (Laredo) from Bishop Calif” and
“Hi, I am Kim Bartley from Bishop Calif”

On or about Jan 17th 09 I ordered a bottle of Acai Berry diet pills. FREE, Pay only the postage of $.499
It was bulled to my MasterCard on Jan 20th and I received them a few days later.
Then on March 2nd I received another bottle to my surprise. I checked my MasterCard account and found they had
charged me $83.80 for that bottle, When I checked the account further I found they had charged me $78.81 for the
first FREE TRIAL Bottle on Feb 4th. And also the Free Offer Postage ONLY of $4.99 on Feb 20th.
In other words; They charged me $4.99 and $78.81 for the so called Postage Only Trial Bottle. And then
they sent me another bottle and charged me $83.80
I went to the WEB and found several pages of FRAUD CLAIMS on these people.
“Advanced Wellness Research Inc.”
#3-17th Ave South
Nampa ID 83651 1-866-964-1011
I first called the phone number Web Site and was continually sent to 7 other different phone numbers.
They even hung up on me. and/or put me on hold for as long as 8 to 10 minutes.
I wanted to just cancel and stop any further charges to my account. Boy ! did they give me the trouble.
COULDN’T DO THAT ! I gave them my email address, my name, the order number, my zip code, They could not find
any of that in their records.
Finally after an hour of calling and arguing to their 7 different phone numbers they agreed to stop the shipments and
charging my account. They would not take the new unused bottle I just received March 2nd.

I got a charge on my credit card for the first $3.97. I didn’t have clue who this people were or what they sell. Since I didn’t have a clue how they got my personal and credit card information, I called my credit card company, tell them my credit card number was stolen, and they closed my credit card account. Once you see the first $3.97, call your credit card company, and explain everything, they will investigate for you. Do not even try to contact Nutralane directly, they will make excuses to give you no credit. Something that caught my attention, was that when I called the 800 number, there is an option that says “if you are wondering about a charge on your credit card, please press 2″. So, they are aware they are a scam. How can this company be stop?

I, like some others was mislead by the use of Rachel Ray and Opra’s name being used in conjunction with ACAI and Colon Cleanser.
After 10 days I return the unused portion of the product to the address that I was given in Colorado Springs CO by the C/S department.
Well I thought that was the end…wrong 30 days later my CC was billed $59.95 on top of the $4.95 I had already spent for shipping, plus the cost of returning the product.
These scams are getting worse I sometimes wonder whether or not Opra and Rachel may be involved with these scams because as far as I can tell neither has ever discalimed any relation to any of the scams using their names.
