Yet another celebrity has opened their mouth when clearly it should remain shut.
Denis Leary has spoken: (This is an excerpt from his upcoming book)
There is a huge boom in autism right now because inattentive mothers and competitive dads want an explanation for why their dumb ass kids can’t compete academically so they throw money into the laps of shrinks to get back diagnoses that help explain away the deficiencies of their junior morons. I don’t give a (expletive) what these crackerjack whack jobs tell you. Your kid is NOT autistic. He’s just stupid, or lazy. Or both.
Perhaps Denis Leary and I will have to fight this out school yard style, because I see no other way to settle this. I would love to discuss this in person, rationally, but I doubt he is capable of that. Leary mentions nothing about the drop in autism since thermerosol
was removed from vaccines or since more and more parents have decided NOT to vaccinate their children. I can’t imagine his friends at the New York City Fire Department are too thrilled with his crazy rant. I’m sure there are many among them who would love to have a word or two with Leary. As do I.
Trust me, I know how the game works. He has a book coming out so he needs to be compelling and provocative. But this is disgusting. FULL DISCLOUSRE: I have a book coming out also.
I’ve called and emailed his agent and publicist. I imagine a No comment is forthcoming
