ACAI BERRY POWER 500 SCAM CONTINUES
Though we are getting the word out about the scam being run by the distributors of
Acai Berry Power 500, it seems that they are still at it.
I came across this website today:
http://www.onewomensblog.com/?p=9
And now it seems that Jennifer, Bridget and Angela all look an awful lot alike.
See for yourself at these links:

The supplement industry will never be accused of being ethically righteous, but this is so blatant that I need to continue my pursuit of the proprietors.
I’ve called several government agencies who seem uninterested in helping, so at this point all I can do is say, PLEASE, DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE.
The industry is unregulated and has been for years, with the useless protein powders, shakes and drinks. And the other assorted “fat burners”, “carb blockers” and endless list of garbage.
Eat local, Eat Fresh.
Exercise intensely.

What do i do if i have already paid for the product? they are not answering the phone to let me cancel the shipments..

Hi Brandy,
This is the problem. I suggest calling your credit card company.
They never answer the phone. One day last week I had an intern try every five minutes from 9am to 5pm.
I’m giving a wellness speech in South Florida next month and I am
going to attempt to visit their offices. My guess is that an office doesn’t even exist.

I made the mistake of paying for the “Free Sample, pay shipping and handline only” and WHAT a nightmare. I tried to call the company so many times and either I get a busy tone or I get put on hold for 20, 30, 40 minutes. Its really Bull****. I called my credit card company and they told me that they can not stop any payments from coming out but when it DOES come out to call them back and they will tried and dispute it… what if they can’t. I’m so frustrated for falling for a stupid scam!

Sam,
You must be ready to pull your hair out. These places seem to be able to act without anyone watching over them.

Hi,
Was about to order when i came across your site. Is it really garbage? So all the ratings on Superfood,Oprah,CNN etc are all a scam? PLs reply so i know for sure if i should order or not

Hi Yvette,
CNN, Oprah, etc have all extolled the benefits of the ACAI BERRY, which I am not contesting. I am commenting on the companies that scam people into buying this product and continue to charge them on their credit cards. These companies have no physical offices, no personel to answer phones and are, in my opinion, fradulent operations.
Want to try ACAI? Go into a store, buy it once, try it and then decide what you want to do.

Hi,
I came across acai berry because I wanted to lose weight after childbirth. But since it sounded too good to be true, I tried to do a thorough research before buying any product. That’s when I read your post regarding the acai berry scam. Thank you so much for the helpful information. I was almost duped into buying it.

Hello. I just wanted to say how happy I am to see that you are combating a company like this. I think that it’s awful the way spme people prey on a person already low self-esteem due to weight gain. I think that those of us who want to lose weight should still be responsible in what we order online…come on people! We are not stupid and by now we all know that there are scams running everyday online. We have to make sure that we investigate companies before we just send them our money. If you can find the website that sells these things then you can do a little research on the validity of it….and 9 times out of 10 (like Anna says)…if it looks too good to be true..IT PROBABLY IS!
Thanks

If you read the “Jennifer” blog, you can see that anywhere where the word “name” should be, it’s been replaced by “Jennifer” (i.e. “My Jennifer is Jennifer Greene”, “brand-Jennifer products”). It’s what happens when people copy and paste the same text for different phony websites. I’ve seen several different versions of the Acai Berry 500 sites including the newest “Emily’s Fat Loss Blog”. The stories are more-or-less the same with similar grainy photoshopped pictures, and all the comments are conveniently “disabled” at the present time. Don’t buy this crap people.

This is a every other month deal. 2 months ago I had 39.95 refunded. Now this month a charge of 64.95 came out. I didnt have 89.00 in the account. My bank says money was exchanged. They can not get it back. I have to close my checking account and open a new one. I will never pay anything on line. I will never order any thing on line again.
I called 8778591109 which is the number on my bank statement. I was told its a bad company using their phone number. They did not charge me anything.

Please please listen to him! I got so scammed by this company. I knew that they would charge me after 2 weeks, I read the text before I checked the box. They charged me earlier than the two week date. By then I hadn’t even received the product and I didn’t want to have anything to do with them. They guaranteed my 89 dollars back in two weeks. That didn’t come. Not only that, but they gave my card number to other companies such as Fit Factory and Pricelimbo. I had to wait 25 costly minutes just to get refunded. Those companies promised not to charge me again. They did. After two weeks the acai berry refund had STILL not come. I called again and they said it would be in my bank account within five business days. It didn’t come. I called again. They promised it would be in my account by Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday was yesterday. It didn’t come. I finally went to my bank and filed a dispute. I canceled and shredded my debit card.
This is a huge scam and DO NOT FALL FOR IT. You will not receive a product and you will be charged continuously no matter what you do. PLEASE!!

I ordered the Acai Pure, Colotox, and a couple of others for “FREE” and just paid shipping. Less than 1 month later, I had charges on 2 debit cards totaling almost $500!!!! I called one of the numbers and was promised a refund and never saw it and continued to be charged. I had to call the bank and have my accts frozen.
A lot of banks are aware of this and may be willing to help you recover your money. I use Bank of America and they were gracious enough to file a fraud claim and are going to get my money back because they stated that the majority of their filed claims are due to “free trial” scams.
I am trying to expose these disgusting people for the criminals that they are. If anyone knows of anyone we can talk to, please let me know! rebekalb@yahoo.com

I ordered it and it has not came…so i called the number they told me to call to cancel it and i called then thye gave me another number and they told me that i would get a email saying that it was shipped out and that they were a legit. company and that they also didnt give my card number to any other companies plus it would take a week-week 1\2 to get it…
i will NEVER order anything online AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow,sounds like i got lucky,i tried to buy online, put all my info in the boxes and pressed submit ,it came back at the top of the submit box that my bank had denied my reqwest for this site, besides that it was going to be sent overnight ups no other choices, also these people are saying only there berrys work and have done tests on 20 other brands and they didnt work, the only problem is they didnt let anyone in on what ones they tested and there results, theres are 500mg caps so i gess i get twice the punch out of mine there 1000mg caps bought at walgreens, and if greentea is a factor at all i will just have to keep the teapot going is all,and if it dont work im only $9.99 out on it,also im surprized that the two O’s that being Opera,OZ,haven’t made comments on this yet or have they,Opera has been on news lately about her struggles with her weight,is she not eating the rite berries,or maybe eating to many of the wrong ones,i stuggle too, i like food drink to much beer, watch to much T.V.,and hate exercise most of the time,so if my $10.00 bottle don’t get me there i have already switched to a low carb, high protein diet and insted of eating intel i pop,i might even try eating portion size, oh well keep trying everyone, its got to get better rite.

I ordered a free trial of an Acai supplement. All I was to pay was 5.95 S&H. A few weeks later I noticed a charge of 88.65 from my checking account. I called the company and asked what this charge was for. I was told that if I would have read the”fine print” I would have noticed the part where it said you have 15 days to return the product or you will be charged such and such an amount. Then I was told that if I returned the product there would be a 30 percent (of the $88.65 that was taken out of my account) re-stocking fee!!! I went throught the roof. I explained to the gentleman that I would NOT be paying to restock a vitamin bottle! I also told him that I would be contacting higher authorites…..how quickly the tables turned and how accomodating he became. Now I must wait 3-5 bus days to have my monies returned…and you better believe I will be checking daily.
Needless to say, I will not be ordering items online again. I was uncomfortable when I did it and I should have gone with my instincts. I may even close the checking acct just to be on the safe side!
